Sayippine Kandappol ... Hindu Aikyam and Kerala Elections
All the commotion in Kerala about the so called 'Visala Hindu Aikyam'is over. The elections, which will decide as to who runs the state anduses its resources for another five years, are announced. And there issilence. The leaders who made roaring statements are not to be seen.The 'Nair Mahasammelanam' had trumpeted that 'we are to decide whowill run the state' but those who said this are in hiding. The samecircus with the same faces are out in the streets. It is like theMalayalam saying 'Sayippine Kandappol Kavathu Marannu'. Once again thesame story will repeat. A state held to ransom by the so called minority communities, who by virtue of their being weak have constitutional rights, shall be dictating terms for another fiveyears. Whatever the front, for both the fronts in Kerala are running on minority money.
The first instalment of money is paid, to write hoardings on compoundwalls of houses, the going rates in Thiruvananthapuram are Rs. 10000/for the paint and writing. Many of then make a killing. Huge amountsof money shall flow in from various sources, mainly the minoritycoffers, who really have their minting machines. The candidatures wereon sale, those with money to spend are the sought after ones. If theycan also spend for others, party funds, all the more sweeter. And soonthey will start siphoning the money back, from public funds that cometo their power after they are elected. What is called in sweet words,'corruption'. Democratic polity is the name but it is caste andcommunity that drives the game. It is a silent consensus of deceit.the majority has lost hopes in the post-colonial polity.Now what are the options before the marginalised and suffering Hindu community.
There are various allegations and counter allegations aboutthe Hindu forces. That some are trapped in black mailing, that there are unknown strings pulling from various places. The mainstream political pary with Hindu leanings are far too weak to be seen alive. Inner feuds always keep them at a safe distance from power. There is no viable alternative. Now what can the Hindus do, the native idiom, the native culture, cannot allow itself to be driven to the walls. Made inconsequential. That would damage the state as well. If it is not damaged already. One look at the natural survival systems of Kerala show the results, the dying rivers, balding encroached forests, decaying lakes. Armies of the Hindu unemployed and poor, with only islands of the minority rich remaining.The state has become a hell-hole of suicide prone Hindus, they call it God's Own. The grave issues facing the state are cleverly side lined by theChristian controlled media, they play lullabies and the pious Hindusgo to sleep. Then are remote controlled in to debates that they want them to sheepishly follow. It is a kind of hypnosis, now decades old.The most affected eventually kill themselves, atlast seeing no lightat the end of the tunnel.
To talk about reality is communal, Hindus organising is communal, for the moneyed and well cemented Christiansand Muslims to join in battle is secularism. That is what the Malayali is made to believe.

Greetings from a Mallu..I am writing this in the context of controversies regarding developmental policies of political parties in Kerala"
everyone wants development to happen in kerala and Employment for all. But we differ only on the way to achieve the same. There are two ways, first one - o sell out the lands and Government assets- to the minions and relatives of political leaders and let them have the development - Which was happening in Kerala , in the last 5 years. The second one, a development model, which guarantees economic growth ,employment, social security and freedom to live with honor to all sections of the society. From daily wages earner to high -tech Professional. So choice is yours
I would like to draw your attention to few facts of past on development
1) First Marxist Government (1957 ) invited industrialists like Birla, Tata to Kerala. Mavoor Gwalior Rions was started in 1957 .
2) They started the plans to attract Investment from Japan, South Eastern Nations, But they couldn't successfully complete the process because of the vimochana Samram by A.K.Antony ,CIA and Some Section of Congress .

3) 1967 Govt by CPIM initiated the Plans for collaboration with Denmark,(for fishing project at Neendakara-Kollam ), Cochin port development with Ireland.
More recently , in 1989 CPIM Government started the first Technopark in India. But later the Congress government (in 1992) didn't pursue the things properly and that is why Karnataka and Tamilnadu got an upper hand in IT developments. The CM was interested only in spy cases and Palm oil.
It will be wrong to say the the previous Marxist Government was incompetent in creating job opportunities they were able to create an identity of Kerala in the World Tourism Map (See UN publications 1999-99, National Geographic Magazine 1999-2000) .Do you know that at present more than 30,000 people are working in Tourism Sector in kerala
India's Fist IT park was constructed by the Left Government of 1987-1991. Left the kicked off the ball of IT revolution way back in 1989.but later Congress Governments were instead of taking the ball to the development court, did the infighting and espionage dramas. We missed the IT bus of 90es. The next left front Government was not interested in IT ,but they promoted Tourism and Poverty Eradication . I think even Sonia Gandhi will agree to the fact LDF Government put the Kerala in the Global tourism Industry. The period of 1996-2001 saw LDF promoting tourism in kerala thru Global tourism meets and trade shows and we are reaping the benefit now. Poverty Eradication - People's Plan Campaign - it had its problems, but upto some extend it eradicated poverty from our villages. Even Muslim League , an UDF Partner supported the movement.
I would like to answer some of the claims of Smart City Group- read as Land Mafia....Please read it and decide........

Smart City Program is being started by a group of real estate people from Dubai who was no previous experience in IT or related Industry. Previous records and Information available in the company website itself shows that they were able to generate only some odd 3000 jobs in the last 5 years which are mainly customer support jobs.
Now ,let us come back to the topic, Smart City - Opportunities and risks.
Claims of Ommen Chandi and Dubai Internet City People
* Employment Generation for 30,000 people in the first 3 years.
* In the next ten years number of Job opportunities will grow upto 10,0,000
* Revenue from the Smart City to the state exchequer - 60 crore
* Dubai internet city will invest 1500 crore
For all above said claims to realize, we the people of kerala have to donate 586 Acres of Land ,in the prime location ,of Upcoming metro city cochin. As OmmenCha advices it is only a small gesture to attract investors !!
See ,even if you estimate using the lowest land price pertaining in cochin ,say 50,000 per cent (100 cent is 1 Acre ) ,the whole land deal will come close to an astonishing 3000 crore rupees. In addition to this Ommen Chandi will hand over the Info Park (Some thing similar Techno Park, in Trivandrum) which was developed by Government of Kerala along with adjust 64 acres of land for free. This raises the total land deal to 3500 crore rupees.
First of all Dubai Smart City Management is not an agency of Goverment of Dubai.It is another real estate development company registered in Dubai.
So Dubai Smart City , a real estate development company (See their website ) who has little competency in IT sector will be getting land worth 3500 crore in a strategically important location of India for Peanuts. Why Strategically important - the southern Naval command, the new container terminal project at Vallarpadam, and military establishments to combat threats from sea side. It is like selling out 20 % of New York City to Mullahs from Saudi Arabia.
They are planning to invest 1500 (only planning, no accountable agreement ),but they are already making a profit of 2000 crore ruppes.
See the job history of Dubai internet city, in the past 5 years they (SmarCity team)were able to generate only 5000 -6000 jobs. But let us hope that in Kerala,we will have more jobs. So I am not going to question that Claim.
Revenue of 60 crore to the exchequer after giving 3500 crore worth land and another 500 crore worth amenities like Free electricity, Super highway to the City, Water and drainage systems, Tax Rebates etc. Even a road side hawker knows how to do business more profitably. Government of Kerala is getting only 1.5% return on its dead investment. (4000 crore to Dubai SmarCity ).
If the deal is fair and good, Mr. Ommen chandy is scared of whom ? Why they are not publishing the details of the agreement with Dubai Smart City People ?
Why there is NO transparency in the deal made between Dubai Smart City People and Mr.Ommen Chandi. See Friend, this is the time when Mr. ManMohan Singh is passing an information act at Parliament ,giving right to common man to access governmental files and details, thus brining transparency to the Goverment Operations.
Then why Mr.Ommen Chandi is shrouding the deal like big winged bat ?
There is another dimension to this problem. How can a Goverment sell people's land without convincing the people ,whom they rule ? You might have read about ,the recent allegations on last BJP Government's deals of Centaur Hotel Mumbai and ITDC hotel kovalam.
To Conclude, in these modern times, corruption in the name of development is an easy task. Give sermons about upcoming jobs and progress ,transfer the government land for cheap prices, get commission for those deals. People like Ommen Chand uses his influence among religious leaders to flare up tension between communities ,so that he can continue with his own corruption.
There is another angle for this Smart City Program - Which Nobody talks about- National Security. Cochin is a Port City ,which caters to many Defence establishments and it is strategically important place for our defense.
Handing over thousands acres of land to a foreign firm with exclusive rights of administration and control, would be boon for the terrorists if they want to conduct any anti-national activities . Already there are reports ,which say kerala has become a transit point for terrorist activities.
Do you want Selling out the Port City of Cochin to Few Arab sheiks ? See the hue and cry which was raised against a Dubai company handling American Ports(Dubai Ports World - http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,187307,00.html ). Finally due to People pressure Dubai company backed out from the bidding. See a people are concerned about an external agency handling strategically important areas of a Nation.
Because of regulations in the agreements with smart city, we have lost 4000 job opportunities already. CTS and Wipro stopped their expansion plans and Wipro is investing heavily in Coimbatore .
Man, Ommen and Kunjali Gang are cheating people ,with some mere gimmicks.
Let them make money,but don't kill an Industry for their own personal motives. See in Bangalore, Every company gets equal rights and concessions.
What is the alternative ? We need Jobs. Yes I agree.
Rather than going behind the dubious companies and hollow claims,Let us see the Dubai Smart City plan as a business acitivity which should profit both the investor and the common keralite. Publish the agreement deals, allow the public to see it and debate over it. Change the conditions in the agree which can harm the interest of People.
I am not against Smart-City Program or FDI. We need changes in the contract that has been made between Smart-City Group and Governement of kerala. Why they cannt publish the details of the contract ? Let there be a fair play for all business ventures,and there should not be any monopoly.
Smart City should be for the 18,000 engineering students passing out from Engineering colleges in Kerala, everyyear, it should be for the countless jobless youth in Kerala.
But sadly it its current from It benefits only Ommen , Kunjahli and Land Mafiosi.
For the sake maintaining decency ,i would like to keep quiet on the private life of Mr.Ommen Chanday and his M3 Mafia . M3 mafia - Manorama,( Group which owns the century old newspaper ,but uses its influence in the Corridors of Power for business Gains - which buys Rubber from International market at Low prices and at the same time sheds crocodile tears for Poor Rubber farmers in Kerala, Manoram will even print a 4 page supplement on that ), Muthoot (the Money lender turned business tycoon ,who's son married Mr.Chandi's daughter) and Maithran (Mallu term of Vicar- but used here to denote the criminal followers of Mr.Ommencha). I can write pages and pages about it. But let us keep that aside for another occasion.
Last 5 years we saw how UDF Wagon s was creeping towards development, without moving an inch in that direction
Now,on this 21st Centruy, we have to leap forward.
We cannt waste our time again.
We need a Change in policy,
We need a leadership based on values and ethics, with a vision of development.

Vellappilly would make better CM stuff, let the ezhavas if they are so keen to have the 'CM chair' promote Vellappilly and all Nairs shall stand with him. Seriously, let us have Vellappilly as CM, with a panel of Hindu community experts to enable him take decisions. Any takers.

About VS he is not an Ezhava as many believe. He belongs to the Velan caste, now considered part of the Ezhavas. They are old priests and talk with a twang, what VS too does, hereditory trait.
VS opposed Karunakaran and RB Pillai because they were pleasing the Xtians too much, were arrogant. Nothing to do with the caste factor. Whether VS can make a good CM can only be seen after he becomes one. He will certainly have an eye for the poor (now all Hindu after communism).
Aiming at the 'chair' is certainly bad, only those who can look beyond the 'chair' can do things. Those who deserve to be there.
